WEI comprises the expertise of a wide range of Project Managers, Academic Scientists, Field Supervisors, Conservationists and local support staff in the different terrestrial and marine project sites. General management and operations are handled by a management committee chaired by Johan Scholtz (johan@wei.org.za).
Conservation and research guidance are provided by a research committee made up of various institutional partners representing skilled academics from many of the leading international universities. WEI has already implemented a range of projects in association with specialists from the University of Nottingham and Essex University, and are currently developing projects with the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford in the United Kingdom.
