WEI has been instrumental in the protection of African wildlife and the environment by involving people in scientific research and practical training whereby they can become aware of the importance of biodiversity conservation, understand the ecological processes involved, and support the strategies needed to protect endangered species and conserve areas of ecological importance.
WEI mobilizes extensive resources to provide the manpower and senior academic supervision for scientific research and survey work. We provide sound scientific information and advice to policy makers and conservation managers responsible for making decisions that directly affect wildlife and the environment. Through our involvement of people in ongoing research we are able to generate much needed funding for continued research or infrastructure development in ecologically sound investments.
