mkhuze game reserve

Mkhuze Game Reserve – In 2004 wild dogs were re-introduced into uMkhuze Game Reserve. In 2007 WEI facilitated the ongoing funding of radio collars and continued research of two of these animals as well as support for continued monitoring of six cheetahs which were re-introduced in 2006. Ecological emphasis is placed on the establishment success of introduced species and their population dynamics. In 2008 WEI will collaborate with Ezemvelo reserve management to continue the intensive monitoring of these priority species and assist with international academic support to provide statistical advise, develop GIS maps showing daily positions, and establish a spatial database for park management.
