Limpopo National Park – In 2008 specialist scientists in each of the taxonomic groups will establish a biodiversity monitoring programme in the Limpopo National Park of Mozambique. The survey protocols developed will be based around a constant effort atlasing approach and will in future years also be used as the basis for surveying additional areas of the Parque Nacional do Limpopo. The comparative data between the Greater Kruger National Park and LNP will enable management to identify the benefits and/or disbenefits to the diversity of various taxa in terms of long term management of land as a protected area.
